When Betsy DeVos was a young student at Calvin College, she became involved in campus politics and has remained politically active ever since. She has also led various campaigns and party organizations.
Betsy and Dick DeVos are both business-minded and are committed to finding solutions to social problems. She is a passionate advocate for education reform, and she pursues this through a variety of charitable activities. Aside from her foundation, she also has a wide range of charitable interests.
Today, there are about 250,000 students in publicly-funded private-choice programs in the District of Columbia and 17 states. The movement’s rapid growth is shown by the number of new programs that started in 2012 and are still around today.
The rise of social media has caused people to become more aware of the failures of traditional public schools. This has also helped people to become more open to the idea of school reform options, such as tax credits and voucher programs.
When Dick and Betsy had kids of their own, they visited the Potter’s House Christian School, which serves a portion of Grand Rapids. There, they met parents who were devoted to making sure their kids were safe and learning. When she was a young mother, she had school-age children. As parents, Dick and Betsy were committed to helping other parents find the best education for their kids.
Betsy Meets Pitbull In Miami
Many people wouldn’t think Betsy and Pitbull would have anything in common. However, they have a love of education to share. During her visit, which was expected to last two days, DeVos met with officials and toured schools that have different educational offerings. Pitbull and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos appeared together Thursday at a charter school in Miami. They discussed how they work to make education a priority for kids of all economic backgrounds.
